The candidate will become the expert on all development systems and ensure strong supporter stewardship, including overseeing database and supporter information systems, gift acknowledgments, and activities related to donor cultivation, renewal, stewardship, and prospecting.

About the Position

Restore seeks a Development Coordinator to help the development team achieve aggressive fundraising goals. Reporting to the  Chief Development Officer, the Development Coordinator will be the expert on all development systems and ensure strong supporter stewardship, including overseeing database and supporter information systems, gift acknowledgments, and activities related to donor cultivation, renewal, stewardship, prospecting, volunteer coordination, communications support, and church outreach. This includes maintaining up-to-date supporter records, providing key revenue reports and analytics promptly, and conducting prospect research. The candidate will also support campaigns and events throughout the year, coordinate volunteers, and contribute to overall department logistics and planning.

 

Specific Responsibilities

Donor and Partner Support

  • Demonstrate exemplary supporter service, responding to all donor/partner inquiries, including assisting with navigating the giving process and receiving financial receipts, including owning and executing the donor acknowledgment/gratitude and tax receipting process
  • Receive all gifts (e.g., wire transfers, stock, checks, cash) and document receipt in Funraise and Salesforce, including accurate designations of gifts and storing of all related documentation in Salesforce and Google Drive
  • Facilitate and/or execute donor renewal process for small to mid-range gifts
  • When the Office Manager is off work, cover traveling to the mailbox, opening all mail from financial supporters, and depositing checks
  • Tracking of in-kind gifts 
 

Data Management

  • Manage and ensure the integrity of all donor data within Funraise and Salesforce, including overseeing the inputting, updating, and maintenance of data to ensure clean, usable donor data health across platforms
  • Reconcile Salesforce gifts with Netsuite (financial database) on a monthly basis with finance team
  • Ensure that integrations with other systems, including Klaviyo, Netsuite, Stripe, etc. are effective and optimized appropriately for the team’s needs
  • Liaise with communications team; work within Klaviyo and other communication platforms to perform final execution on development-related communications
  • Trouble-shoot any issues related to data management across all systems, including Salesforce, Funraise, Klaviyo, Netsuite, Stripe, etc.
  • Generate reports within salesforce, including but not limited to analytics reports on donor outcomes and donor contact and history reports for outreach purposes
 

Volunteer Coordination, Special Events, and Campaign Coordination 

  • Support logistics of annual gala and other events that raise $650,000+ annually, including but not limited to materials production, vendor communications, sourcing and solicitation of auction items, RSVP tracking, day-of-event production, post-event gift processing, event follow-up, and other related responsibilities
  • Provide small event support including but not limited to planning, event set up, in-event support, and event breakdown–includes occasional evening and weekend events
  • Own the NYC Marathon application renewal process, provide fundraising support to Restore’s NYC Marathon runners and be the main point of contact for NYC Road Runners regarding rules, regulations, and fundraising requirements 
  • Coordinate and execute volunteer inquiries and monthly volunteer training, connect volunteers with appropriate programs and staff members to ensure smooth onboarding
  • Support communications staff with social media and email marketing 
 

Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, such as three years of professional experience in non-profit development or a related field, is preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or database management is preferred
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving 
  • Strong analytical skills and experience organizing data are beneficial; we also welcome candidates who demonstrate the ability to learn and apply these skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation

The salary range is $60,000-$65,000. Restore provides a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) matching, HSA/FSA, 15 vacation days, 4 spiritual retreat days, unlimited sick days, parental leave, a flex-time policy, and major medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance, as well as commuter benefits.

 

Job Location

This job is based in New York City and will follow a hybrid in-office and remote work schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
