About the Position

The Economic Empowerment Specialist reports directly to the Manager of Professional Education. The Economic Empowerment Specialist will facilitate and lead the implementation of professional education services to survivors of trafficking. The ideal candidate has experience delivering professional education services in both education and clinical settings and has strong administrative skills. 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Manager of Professional Education to create facilitator guides, participant materials, and/or compelling slide decks for service execution.
  • Teach job readiness classes and workshops for participants in the Economic Empowerment Program. 
  • Conduct comprehensive economic empowerment intakes and assessments for new referrals. 
  • Assist with the training and support to the Economic Empowerment Advocate facilitating outreach, communication reminders, and emotional support to participants in the Economic Empowerment Program. 
  • Maintain documentation of clients, including completion of activity reports and entry of impact assessment data, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of quantitative and qualitative data. 
  • Collaborate with other specialists on the team responsible for connecting participants to job placement and entrepreneurship incubation opportunities upon graduation, based on an assessment of participant’s strengths, goals, and skills. 
  • Assist in executing career exploration and professional development workshops and activities. 
  • Submit invoices, checks, and reimbursement requests for services delivered. 
  • Monitor the inventory of class supplies, metro-cards, and other related items and notify the Manager of Professional Education to ensure the timely re-ordering of supplies. 

Experience

  • 2+ years of teaching or group facilitation experience.
  • Training, work, and/or volunteer experience delivering and documenting trauma-informed and client-centered services, exhibiting a deep commitment to clients’ well-being.
  • Project management and/or administrative experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to the empowerment and well-being of survivors of trafficking, and the values of diversity, inclusiveness, and empowerment. 

Requirements

  • Affirm the Nicene Creed and attend a Christian church
  • Native or full professional fluency in Spanish. 
  • Work or volunteer experience in roles requiring strong administrative skills with attention to detail, execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities, and team leadership.
  • Technology Proficiency Required. 
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with others to drive results. 

Compensation

The salary range is $60,000-$64,000. Restore provides a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) matching, HSA/FSA, 15 vacation days, 4 spiritual retreat days, unlimited sick days, parental leave, flex-time policy, and major medical, vision, dental insurance, and life and disability insurance, as well as commuter benefits.

Job Location

This is a full-time position located in New York City. The Economic Empowerment Specialist is a hybrid position. The Economic Empowerment Specialist must be in Restore’s Midtown office for class times (Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) and staff meetings (Monday mornings).
